Owner, Glenn Shaw, and Head Chef, Jay Brand, went down to Steve Connelly Seafood in Boston, MA & Gloucester, MA, which is America’s oldest and most famous fishing port, on Wed., June 8, 2011.  They got to see first-hand where all our fresh seafood comes from!  All the fishing boats (day boats and dragging boats) come into Gloucester.  Steve Connelly Seafood only buys the' top of the trip' catch.  In Gloucester the scallops, swordfish, salmon and all 'ground fish' (i.e, haddock, cod, hake, skate) are graded, weighed and sorted then sent to Boston.  Staying at the Gloucester plant is lobster and striped bass.
